History of the Best Fresh Group
Best Fresh Group originated from Valstar Holland. Valstar was established in 1928. Over the years, more and more companies which complimented eachother became involved with Valstar. In 2008, the group was named Best Fresh Group. Each member of the group is an independent company with its own specialism.
1928
Foundation Fa. M. Valstar (Valstar Holland BV)
1946
The export activities are being expanded to other European countries: Sweden, Ireland, Switzerland and Belgium.
1953
The name of the company has changed to M. Valstar & Co B.V. In this 25th anniversary year Valstar exports to 9 countries in Europe.
1972
The new fruit and vegetable auction “Westland-Zuid” has been established in ‘s- Gravenzande. After 44 years, Valstar moves to the new auction, where everything is being dealt with on a bigger scale and more efficiently. On the image shown on the left, much work is being done from the new office in ‘s-Gravenzande in 1989.
1994
The previous identity of Valstar Holland B.V. Start of the export to Japan, the USA and Eastern-Europe from the new location “Westerlee” in De Lier.
1998
Establishment of Fruit World Breda

Eminent joins the (what will become) Best Fresh Group
